My REV drive isn't being properly recognized after I upgraded my system from Windows XP SP2 to Windows Vista RC1 (5600). It is being recognized as a CD ROM drive instead of a removable / REV drive. Retrospect no longer works because of this. I realize that Vista hasn't yet been released however many other vendors are offering Windows Vista BETA drivers, etc. If a BETA driver is available please let me know as I am willing to test it on my system.

Just an FYI to anyone that may be considering taking the Vista plunge!

When can we expect some sort of a driver that will support Windows Vista?

Gee, I'm guessing sometime after Vista's release. Which, of course, should be early next year. Eyup. Early. Well, . . . maybe not quite so early. Maybe around the middle. Certainly no later than October. Or so. Very Happy

So, is Iomega going to be caught with their pants down when Vista is released? It's coming, don't you think there should be a driver being tested to work with it BEFORE the final release? Or will I have to explain to all my customers who want to upgrade, "Oh, sorry, Iomega didn't think they'd need drivers for Vista for another year or so, sorry, you now have no backup unless you buy a different product"? Question Shocked

I remember that Iomega had betas for the X64 versions out a few months before Microsoft went live with the 64-bit versions of XP and 2K3. I'm guessing Iomega is already working on the Vista drivers and will have them ready. Who knows, maybe they know more about Vista's release schedule than you do and a beta will be available a few months before Vista ships - like next June, or so. Very Happy
