I have a StorCentre Network Hard drive 320Gb. I set it up on my mini LAN, 1*PC, 1*iMac, various laptops, WiFi router and cable modem.

When I came to log in today the Iomega was not visible from either computer although still pingable. I powered down, reset and ran Iomega Discovery which told me it was detected but could not be configured. It said the dive was 'offline' .

The support web page gives me no real help. How do I get it back 'online'? What do I do to reconfigure it? Is it simpler to reset it to the factory settings and start again? If so how is this done?

Thanks in advance - Joe Edwards

JoeEdwards,

A factory reset can help. To do this, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds. Also, as for the error message you are getting, make sure that firewalls and anitvirus programs are not affecting the communication of the network HDD with the network. Also, what happens if you try a direct connect to a computer via ethernet cable? Does the computer detect the drive then? If so, can you access the Discovery Tool and setup user accounts and shares.
